Responsibilities
Oversee the technical operations, maintenance and upkeep of one luxury hotel, one private chalet and two staff houses in the Gstaad area.
Manage and supervise the technical team, including planning, task allocation, training and performance follow-up.
Implement and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, ensuring the reliability and proper functioning of all technical installations and facilities.
Ensure the properties meet applicable Swiss technical, safety, fire prevention and regulatory requirements, including inspections, certifications and maintenance controls.
Ensure and regularly verify full compliance of all properties, technical installations and operations with applicable Swiss laws, safety regulations, fire prevention requirements and mandatory standards, including the coordination and follow-up of inspections, certifications, documentation and any required corrective actions.
Coordinate repairs, technical interventions, contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, deadlines and cost control.
Lead and follow up on renovation, refurbishment and technical improvement projects, from planning to completion.
Anticipate technical needs and ensure properties are fully operational and ready for owners, guests and VIP arrivals.
Provide regular reporting to Management on maintenance, incidents, risks, projects and investment needs.
Profile
Swiss-recognised technical qualification (CFC or equivalent) in electrical engineering, HVAC, building services, mechanics, plumbing or a related field; additional Swiss technical certifications are a strong advantage.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar technical management or supervisory role, ideally within luxury hospitality, hotels, private estates or high-end residential properties.
Proven experience managing a technical team and coordinating external contractors and suppliers.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, building systems, technical compliance and health & safety requirements in Switzerland.
Project management experience, particularly in renovation, refurbishment and technical improvement projects.
Hands-on, proactive, structured and solution-oriented, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Fluent in French and English; German is an advantage.
Must be based in Gstaad or willing to relocate.
Valid driving licence required.
